New Mover Data

People who are moving spend more during the 3 months surrounding their move than non-movers spend in 5 years according to research! The value of linking new contact information due to a move can be enormous for Direct Marketers in search of capturing accelerated homeowner, renter or business spending as well as for establishing a new customer.

The 3-month New Mover “hyper-spending” window of opportunity is brief. The clock starts ticking when a person, family, or business actually moves, making it imperative to obtain the most recent and accurate detail available for any mover.

LSSiDATA is the only enterprise-based vendor to source New Mover detail directly from all RBOC’s in North America, as well as from additional telecommunication and data partners. LSSiDATA stands virtually alone as a Tier 1 supplier of telco-sourced contact information, providing the freshest New Mover contact information to Tier 2 and Tier 3 data resellers. Why? Because carriers depend upon LSSiDATA for 411 listing accuracy, thus working persistently with LSSiDATA to deliver any changes as quickly as possible as well as assisting with appends and corrections.

What is a “Move”?

An addition or change of a listing does not necessarily indicate a “move”. It may signal the addition of another telephone number within the household or at a business. Or, it may be a move, but perhaps within the same town. More granular data such a previously noted is valuable as marketers seek to tune targeting and promotion. Following are examples of New Mover classification available from LSSiDATA:

Residential classifications include

  • New Mover: a listing that has never had the name, address and telephone number combined together before. This indicates that the listing is for a resident that has just moved to a new residence.
  • Local Mover: the name and telephone number have been paired before, but never with the new address. This indicates that the resident moved to a new domicile but within the local exchange circuit.
  • Additional Listing: a listing where the telephone and address already exist as a pair but not with the resident's name. This indicates that that resident has newly listed themselves at an existing address.
  • Additional Line: a listing where the name and address combination exists but never with the new telephone number. This indicates that the resident has added a child's or fax line.
  • Unclassified: a listing where there was not enough data to be processed using the LSSiDATA algorithm.

Business classifications include

  • New Mover: a listing where the business name, address and telephone number combination has never been in the database. This indicates a new business provisioning telephone service.
  • Local Mover: the business has had the same business name and telephone number in the past but never at the new address. This indicates that the business moved but kept their telephone number.
  • Additional Line: a listing where the business name and address pairing exists but not with the new telephone number. This indicates that the business has added telephone lines.
  • Additional Listing: a listing where the address and telephone number pair exists in the database but never with the new business name. This indicates that an existing business is now sharing its telephone service with another business or has started a "Doing Business As" business.
  • New Location: a listing where the business is in the database but never with the new telephone number and address. This indicates that the business has opened a new location.
  • Business Name Change: a listing where the address and telephone number pairing exists but never with the new business name. This indicates that the business is doing business under a new name.
  • Unclassified: a listing where there was not enough data to be processed using the LSSiDATA algorithm.
